Illinois Department of Natural Resources wanted to renovate and upgrade eight following sites of Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area, a 5,000 acre conservation park, in Wilmington, Illinois:

Office/Check Station Area

Camping/Trailer Parking Area

Kankakee River Picnic Area

Kankakee River Boat Launch Area

Archery Range Area

Hand Trap Area

Milliken Lake Day Use Area

Field Trial Area

Scope of work included; replace ramp and stairs, replace doors and hardware, provide additional parking areas, provide new accessible paths, provide new picnic pads with grills and water fountains, build new camping pads with camp grills, provide new boat launch docks, build new fishing platform and provide new landscaping for the Park.

The firm inspected the Park and submitted a report including recommendations for the improvements without disturbing the natural environment of the Park with construction estimate. The construction document for renovation of the naturally sensitive park was prepared for bidding according to the State of Illinois Capital Development Board requirements.
