EXPERIENCE
Mr. Khosrow Niroumand-Rad serves as Chief Engineer of Farhad Niroumand-Rad Architects. He is responsible for management of the engineering and technical production, and site and environmental analysis of FNRA projects.
Mr. Niroumand-Rad after five years at "Khaneh Sasi Iran" (Hospital and Housing division of Iran Social Security), joined Farhad Niroumand-Rad Architects in 2000. At Khaneh Sasi Iran, he was part of the management team supervising the planning, scheduling and construction of projects. He headed the efforts in cost saving of projects by managing the course of construction and supervising the proper execution of details. He worked closely with field engineers and prepared field reports.
Previously, Mr. Niroumand-Rad was project manager of West Switzerland Energy Company, a Lausanne, Switzerland base international energy company. During 1986 to 1994 he Played a leading role in establishing the firm's commercial long-term policies. He was responsible for the study of the European electricity market. As a member of the negotiating and purchasing committee, he evaluated and developed a 25 year electricity rate structure for Central Europe, with a purchase value of three billion Swiss francs. He organized, managed, and delivered West Switzerland Energy Company annual budget and long-term financial provision with the company service finance group.
Prior to West Switzerland Energy Company, Mr. Niroumand-Rad was with the Economic Institute of Energy Management, Lausanne, Switzerland for four years. He conducted a customized study on use and reduction of thermal discharges of building envelops due to energy consumption in Switzerland. As part of this study a data base of Switzerland household energy consumption was created, that lead to the development of a model for optimization of energy consumption. Also as a team member of Switzerland-Rwanda Corporation he participated in development of an electric plan for Rwanda, based on an economical analysis of electric production and energy consumption.
